What is OPEN?
A one-stop shop for live information on business hours: is this place open right now, and until when. The answer comes from the owner, not from hours written once and never touched.
Why did we build OPEN?
Because all of us have arrived at a closed door. Google said "open", you drove, you parked, and the door was locked. Hours online were written once and nobody updates them, and an owner who stepped out to the doctor or stayed open late has nowhere to say so. We built OPEN for both sides: the owner gets the freedom to close and open the way life really happens, with one tap, and you get the certainty that what is written is true right now.
What does a business owner get from OPEN?
One button instead of a note on the door: open, closing soon, temporarily closed, +1 hour. The update shows right away on the site and in the app, inside ChatGPT and on a page Google crawls. One line for customers, an offer or a message, sent as a notification straight to the phones of people who saved you in their favourites, and gone by itself at the end of the day. A door sticker that answers a customer even when you are not there. And an exposure page that shows how many times you were seen. All free during the pilot.
Where does the status come from?
From the business owner, with one tap. With no live update, OPEN shows the regular opening hours and says so. With no information at all it says "unknown", never "closed".
Where do you see it?
Everywhere! On the site and in the app, inside ChatGPT, shared straight to a story, and the system builds every business a page with the update for Google to crawl.
Do I need the app to check?
No. Search and the map work here on the site. The app adds favourites and notifications.
What notifications does the app send?
Only from businesses you saved, and only when something really happens: a live update, a change of hours, or opening and closing against the regular times. Nothing for a regular open or close.
Where does OPEN work today?
In Jerusalem. Businesses join one by one, face to face, so the numbers are still small and growing.
